Whose Idea was This anyway? Improvised Comedy

Billy Martinez
Billy has been performing for over 29 years. Film, television, radio and stage have all been venues for the Tampa native, both as an actor and a musician. As a founding member of the Gorilla Theater, the Public Domain comedy troupe, the Animal Spirits Show Band (a Blues Brothers tribute act) and Whose Idea was This anyway?, laughs have always been a driving force in his life. Doing stand-up, sketch comedy and improv in New York in the '80s and in Tampa in the '90s - not to mention 15 years at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay - has honed his skill and craft. He considers himself fortunate to be in the company of the tremendous talents of the rest of the WIT Improv troupe, and he is thankful to be a part of what he calls the "Dream Team" of local improv comedy

Vincent Natale
Vincent has been performing stand-up comedy, magic and improvisational comedy since 1994. Defying those who said "You can't go to college for comedy", he studied stand-up at Middlesex University in London and has now performed his show all over the world. After a brief stint with the Royal Shakespeare Company, he returned to the States to work with and help produce many improv and sketch comedy groups including Public Domain, The Voices, and most recently WIT Improv. He managed and was the house MC for Wacky Weaver's Comedy Club of Brandon for about eight years, where he met his lovely wife, Barbara. Following the birth of their daughter, Vincent and Barbara opened their own company, The Entertainment Factory, which provides comedy, magic and circus acts for conventions and trade shows.

Tim Rerucha
For the past 14 years, Tim has been an animal trainer for Busch Gardens and Sea World. He was born in Winter Haven Florida (yes, he is a good ol' Polk County boy), and he got his start at Cypress Gardens as a host for the water ski shows. As a boy he always wanted to be a veterinarian, but he failed chemistry because he couldn't care less about the elements chart. (None of them were beer!) He excelled in drama, though, and often got out of Spanish class to go work on plays. His Spanish teacher would yell at him to sit down and be quiet, and told him all he ever was going to be was drama. Well, she was right: Tim has acted up at Universal Studios Orlando, where he performed in Poseidon's Fury, Alfred Hitchcock: The Art of Making Movies and as the Green Goblin. At Disney, he played the role of Merlin. Tim was also named best actor for his portrayal as Felix Ungar in the Theater Winter Haven production of The Odd Couple. As a founding member of WIT Improv, Tim is best known for his outlandish characters and even more outlandish wigs. He is often picked on by his fellow improv buddies for his blank stares when they use big words. You can take the boy out of Polk County, but you can't take the Polk County out of the boy.

Jill Revelle
How ironic is it that the "straight man" of the WIT Improvgang is...a woman? As the most recent addition to the WIT family, Jill has introduced the formerly all-male group to a whole new world of female-anatomy humor and OB-GYN jokes. As a respite for her college journalism classes, Jill studied acting, directing and playwriting at the University of Missouri, where she was a member of The Living Dead improv and sketch comedy troupe. A prolific character actress (the "always the bridesmaid..." of the theater world), Jill has portrayed a variety of motherly types, knocked-up princesses, dead grandmothers and ditzy blondes with the Loose Change Players, Stage Door, the Village Players, Spanish Lyric Theater, the Salerno Theater Company and Murders She Wrote, and lent her voice to CrossGen Comics' Video Comics on the Web project. By day, she is the Senior Public Relations manager for Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and a humor/lifestyle columnist for Hatch Magazine.

Scott Swenson
Scott is one of the founding members of Whose Idea was This anyway? He studied at the Goodman School of Drama and holds a BA in acting and directing from Northern Illinois University. After graduation, Scott studied improvisational comedy with Chicago's Second City and Jim Belushi. While still in Chicago, Scott was the Associate Artistic Director for Chi-Town Puppet Theater, which gave him the opportunity to represent the United States at an international pupperty festival in the former Soviet Union. Scott's puppetry skills can also be seen in the now obsolete video/computer game series Computersmarts and on the now cancelled All New Captain Kangaroo. Rounding out his resume', Scott has performed at both Busch Gardens theme parks, in several television commercials and training films, live theater productions from schlock to Shakespeare, and as a media spokesperson for several events. Currently, Scott is the Director of Creative Services at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Working with the Whose Idea was This anyway? company is one of the most rewarding and invigorating theatrical experiences of his career. He credits his overzealous energy on stage to way too many cans of Diet Coke with Lime!

Alex Crow
Alex has an eclectic performance background including television performer, live theater actor, costumed character, stilt walker, video game tester, rock concert tour dude, and human tattoo display. He holds an undergraduate degree in Theater from USF and is currently an Entertainment operations manager at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Eric Hughes
Eric is the newest addition to the WIT Improv team. He has an extensive background in stand-up and sketch comedy. He teaches English as a second language at U.S.F. and moonlights as an educator at Busch Gardens Tampa
